Here we go again. Another Disney+ Marvel series and most know that Paul in particular has had problems with what has been served up by Kevin Feige and co since Avengers: Infinity War faded from our screens.

The Show Vs Show format is back, as the Movie Reviews in 20 Qs guys - Sam and Matiu - join Wayne and Paul to countdown the Top 10 Most Arousing Film Scenes of all time.

 

So, dear listener, you have to ask yourself what could be more entertaining than four middle-aged, straight men discussing what got them hot under the collar when they were in their teens through to more recent years? The answer, of course, is how readily each embarrasses themselves in such a public forum, all in the desperate attempt to earn a laugh. 

 

Find out how who has a thing for fingers and goes phalanges to phalanges with he who has a thing for toes. Learn who leans fairly heavily toward same-sex scenes when two women are involved, and who constantly refers to slamming a$$es, but may not actually be referring to back door action when doing so.

 

Sadly. there were some major technical issues on the Australian end of this recording - the NZ end is immaculate (of course) - so please accept Paul and Wayne's apologies for this one not being up the usual standards of the show. Hopefully, there's enough here for you to enjoy regardless of that, as The Countdown continues ...

Jurassic World Dominion review

Well, here we are with the latest (and supposedly last) film in the Jurassic saga, in which life - and Hollywood - found a way to reunite the stars of the first trilogy with those of the second. Of course, it always starts that way, but then comes the running and the screaming...

 

Wayne is a bit caught up in the run time of the film and could be heard muttering at one point, 'Must go faster." While Paul was focused on whether the producers were so preoccupied with whether they could make another huge-budgeted Jurassic Park film, that they never stopped to wonder whether they should.

 

Find out, then , if this one improves on the last one and is worth a trip to the cinemas, or whether is is one big pile of sh*t ... as The Countdown continues.

Top 10 Criterion Collection Films

This week, with thanks to top level Patron and all round legendary individual, Étienne Fillion-Sauve, the boys are counting down the best films released as part of the Criterion Collection.

 

Given the Criterion Collection is known as the cinephile's wet dream, with the films included being all about method acting and mood lighting and deep sub-text, Paul and Wayne were always going to struggle. But they decided to make it harder on themselves still, by dismissing the films they always talk about , thereby limiting themselves to those that might be somewhat novel for the long-term fans of the show. Something which is especially hard if - like Wayne - you've only seen 28 of the films within the Collection ...

Top 10 Thrillers of the Noughties

Wayne has recovered from COVID (three cheers!), so the boys are back together with The Soundboard joining them to countdown the very best thrillers of the Noughties - aka 2000 to 2009.

 

For this Ep, the guys have decided to celebrate some over-looked or lesser- known thrillers rather than championing the same ten films you'd expect from each of them. Sure, there's still a couple of predictable titles in here, but otherwise, steel yourselves for some foreign language choices (from Paul) and one featuring Halle Berry topless (from Wayne).
