Then at show's end Wayne offers some stock tips, before Paul reveals a temporary change to the show going forward while the Coronavirus runs rampant through the world.

Hunters review

Amazon Prime hits back at Netflix with its own prestige Tv show, Hunters, starring Al Pacino in his first TV gig. Wayne and Paul take a look at the first three (looong!) episodes this week and give their thoughts on whether this one is worth sinking 10 plus hours of your time into.

The Invisible Man review

Paul gives Blumhouse Productions another shot this week as their latest fairly low-budget thriller-horror hits cinemas around the world in the form of The Invisible Man. This one is a timely update to the classic story and stars the always impressive Elisabeth Moss and directed by Leigh Whannell (of Upgrade fame).

 

But is it as good as the critics are saying? or are people just surprised because Blumhouse released something not incredibly terrible which at one stage was attached to Universal's Dark Universe.

Top 10 Razzie Nominated Films!

This week the boys attempt to defend the indefensible, as they countdown the ten BEST films ever nominated as Worst Picture for the Razzies

 

The Golden Raspberry Awards have been running since 1980, with five films nominated as the worst of the worst every year since that time. That means the guys have about 200 films to choose from, and they reckon the Razzie Poweres That be have gotten it wrong quite a few times over the years.

 

But what Paul did not reckon on was a betrayal by Wayne that shakes the foundations of the show to its very core. Will The Countdown continue beyond Episode 257 or is it truly Armageddon for the show??

Locke & Key review

It's Netflix time on The Countdown this week, as the guys turn their attention away from the woes of February cinema, and hope for something better from the new adaptation of the excellent comic, Locke & Key. This one comes from the loins of Stephen King (ie. his son), so Paul has high hopes, but will they be dashed by the teen drama-ishness of it all? And what will Wayne and his scaredy cat approach to anything remotely dark think? But most importantly, is it worth almost nine hours of your time?

Fantasy Island & The Call of the Wild reviewss

February strikes again with the release of a film so terrible, the guys were forced to add a second review to the mix to strike some kind of balance. So it is that Paul briefly talks about the new Hazza Ford film, The Call of the Wild, based on the classic Jack London novel, before both the guys tear Blumhouse's Fantasy Island a new one

 

Jason Blum and Jeff Wadlow (the team behind the abysmal Truth or Dare) this time present a weird horror version of the 1970s TV show, and surprise surprise, it is a truly terrible experience.

 

Can the guys make head or tall of one of the most ridiculous scripts in recent Hollywood history? How does Paul's love/hate relationship with Blumhouse Pictures fare after sitting through this one? And who rates this largely according to the attraction he has to one of the characters?
