Rest assured that no film is safe from the ire of the boys! From films that were MEANT to be big, but bombed hard through to those that were massive financial successes, but sucked royally despite these dollars earned, Wayne and Paul are here to name and shame, and have a few laughs while they're at it.

The Boys Season 2 review

This week, Wayne and Paul are reviewing all eight episodes of the second season of Amazon Prime's The Boys. Amazingly, the "C" word only gets uttered three times through this entire review, but is that a good thing? Does Wayne find the second season too harsh for his delicate sensibilities? Or is Paul too psychopathic to appreciate exploding heads might be traumatising for some people?

This one has all the bad language, wailing and gnashing of teeth that you would imagine, as well as more Soundboard than you could possibly hope for ... and its all in the name of a few laughs. And who couldn't use a few of those given the state of the world at the moment?

Antebellum review

Neither of the boys even knew what the title of this film meant before viewing it, but Wayne was 100% not on board as he believed it was a horror film.

 

Well, it is and it isn't, and it's certainly proving divisive among critics and audiences alike. But will Wayne end up liking this pseudo-horror more than Paul? And what will the OG Negatron have to say about it?

This allows Paul to focus on a bunch of the bigger VOD releases in recent times, while Wayne is completely random in his film coverage - so much so that he can barely remember what number he is up to when working through his list!

For this week's feature review, the boys are going "classic" - if classic can be defined as coming from 2010 - as they double down on the doses of Nolan by sharing their love for Inception. And make no mistake, a love-fest this review is. Nolan Fans apply; Nolan detractors steer-clear, because Wayne and Paul are not afraid to shout their love for this film while falling backward off a bridge as a hotel hallway they're in spins, all while they simultaneously engage in a some breathtaking gun play in and around a remote, snow-covered base.

This week the guys celebrate the very best (or worst depending on your point of view) villain comeuppances in film. Those scenes in which the most terrible or awful of villains finally get what's coming to them - be it something permanent tattooed on their body, a sincere scaring which will set them straight, or being torn to pieces in a zombie attack. 

 

Yes, these are the fist pumping, "Yessss!" moments that the guys have had when watching a villain fall. Though Wayne may be "Yessss!"ing just a little harder than Paul, based on how vindictive and, frankly, disturbing his list becomes.
