This week, the boys return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the second film in Phase 5, to determine whether the rumours of the MCU's demise have been greatly exaggerated. 

 

But in a film featuring some out of left field scenes and one of the worst villains the MCU has ever trotted out, can the rest of The Marvels rise about its impediments to produce something memorable? Or does it continue the downward spiral of the MCU?

 

Not surprisingly, there's a major difference of opinion, but who falls on what side of that divide ... as The Countdown continues ...

Killers of the Flower Moon review

Every so often, an established podcast will post content that changes the landscape of its own journey.

It's Halloween, so it's time for The Countdown to bring the horror!

 

Against all the odds, Paul has somehow convinced Wayne to get coated in (figurative) blood and countdown the top 10 goriest film scenes of all time!

 

As regular listeners might imagine, Wayne takes to this challenge like a cat to water, moaning and complaining the whole time, while regularly reminding Paul and other horror fans like him how messed up they are. Of course, Paul delights in calling out Wayne as a precious snowflake and rags on his choices, meaning the stage is set for a classic episode of the show.

Paul has returned from the US of A, and one of the places he visited with his family was the infamous Sin City, aka Las Vegas. So the boys decide to build on that trip by counting down their top 10 films set in or about Vegas, which of course, opens the door to Wayne telling a story about a strip club he once visited there.

Yes, the boys are back!

 

But it's been pretty bleak as far as cinematic releases go, unless you're a horror film fan. Classic Countdown: Top 10 Disney Animated Films

While Paul is away in the US of A, the listeners have voted for two classic episodes they wanted to hear again, and this is the result.

 

So enjoy this throw back to early in late in the fourth year of the show where Justin and Krissy from the So I Married a Movie Geek podcast joined the show to pit their Top 10 Disney Animated Films list against the same from the boys.
