Christoper Nolan's critically acclaimed Dunkirk has arrived meaning the guys charged off to the cinema to see it. Well, Paul charged off; Wayne was dragged along not quite kicking and screaming. So is it any surprise that they had very different reactions to the film? Find out how different amid a barrage of bad language, incredulity, and the Soundboard being put to very good use! Episode 120: Top 10 Movie Song Moments / Baby Driver

In this week's big Ep, Wayne and Paul review Edgar Wright's newest, Baby Driver, and determine whether a film so closely tied to music can work when it's not (quite) a musical. For once, the boys are largely in agreement, and the good will continues into The Countdown this week, as they each reveal their Top 10 Movie Song Moments. ie. The best moments in film that are made astoundingly amazing by the soundtrack that is playing over them. Given Paul and Wayne have VERY different music tastes, you could be forgiven for thinking this one would have involved anger, cursing, and more incredulity than that associated with Wayne saying he still likes The Big Bang Theory. But as it happens, relations remain very positive throughout the Countdown, maybe even bordering on buoyant. (Though of course, things inevitably go pear-shaped for a few moments through Wayne's list, in particular.) Episode 119: Top 10 Revenge Films / Spider-man: Homecoming

Paul and Wayne this week shoot their webs over everything to do with the newest film in the MCU, Spider-Man: Homecoming, directed by the previously unheralded Jon Watts. They answer all the important questions during their review, including is there too much Tony Stark? Does Michael Keaton rank up there as one of the best MCU villains? And does anybody NOT want a "Karen" for themselves? Then the guys serve up some cold assed dishes as they talk the best revenge films of all time. Given the subject matter, things are refreshingly polite through most of the Ep, though Wayne (of course) makes room for one controversial choice, and Paul (of course) mocks him with the help of the much-loved and always on-point Soundboard. The VERSUS format is back this week as Paul and Wayne decide once and for all, definitely, no further discussion needed, which era spawned the best action films, the 1980s or the 1990s. Both hosts have their preference, but their can be only one, so someone has to leave disappointed, which is predictably hilarious to the other host. On top of that, the boys check out the latest news and disagree vehemently about how much Tony Stark should be in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Episode 117: Top 10 Documentaries

With only the latest Transformers hitting cinemas this week, Paul and Wayne opt to counter-program by addressing a regularly requested countdown: The Top 10 Documentaries. As you might imagine, this one is therefore a little more serious as the guys talk earnestly about some sensitive and dark subject matter. But that's not to say there isn't room for a new segment and the associated new opener, as Wayne finally premieres "Insane in the Mem-Wayne"; while Paul is struck low by a larynx-affecting virus which makes his voice crack like a 14 year old's at irregular intervals. Episode 116: Top 10 Most Rewatchable Films / The Princess Bride

On this week's BIG Countdown, Paul and Wayne compare and contrast their Top 10 most rewatchable films. Of course, things get personal with lists that are so near and dear to their hearts, but the guys surprise themselves by just how different their lists are. This makes for some serious barbs being traded in true Countdown style, but Wayne delivers the knockout blow with what is sure to be one of the most talked about Number Ones in the history of the show ... In keeping with the rewatchable theme, the guys also Rewind Be Kind review a classic film from director Rob Reiner, 1987's The Princess Bride. This week, Paul and Wayne invite along Move Pod Squad Network friend, Chris from the More Gooder Than Podcast to assist in reviewing Universal's desperate (second) attempt to kick off their own cinematic universe, The Mummy, starring Wayne's fave, Tom to the Cruise. Is this another failed effort and the latest in what is starting to look like a string of stinkers for Cruise? Or does second-time director Alex Kurtzman get it right and set up the Dark Universe so people will be begging for more? Then the guys countdown the best ever films in which the main/lead character dies. Episode 114: Top 10 Female Directed Films / Wonder Woman

This week the DCEU puts it all on the line with the first female-centric superhero film since Iron Man blasted onto the scene and reset the way blockbusters would roll out for the next decade. Yes, Paul and Wayne give an in-depth review of Patty Jenkins' Wonder Woman. Does it save the DECU's listing ship? Or send it sinking to a watery grave? After a fairly amiable review, the boys then get their horns on as they countdown their favourite films directed by a female. Both hosts manage to initially include a film co-directed by a male which leads to some fun times, before The Soundboard gets a workout with Wayne cursing it every step of the way. Yes, it's all in foul-mouthed fun and the boys are always friends by the end of the Ep, but in this case they also manage to give a proper shoutout to some of the best female directors working today and declare their absolute favourite before the usual blooper reel closes out the show. Episode 113: VERSUS Part 1 - Arnie Vs Sly / Baywatch (w/ Jarrod)

This week in an ALL NEW type of Countdown, Paul and Wayne ask great supporter of the show, Jarrod, to return to the guest host seat, only partially because he was the one who came up with this show idea! Essentially the VERSUS concept involves the guys once and for all, definitively deciding who wins some of the great comparative rivalries in Hollywood. And they're starting with one of the biggest: Arnold Schwarzenegger vs Sylvester Stallone to determine who is the bigger star! Utilising a "revolutionary" scoring system, the guys get serious with the insults (amid much laughter and incredulity) as Wayne declares himself #TeamSly, while Jarrod and Paul may ever so slightly fall onto the side of #TeamArnie. At the end of the day, a winner is crowned, listener feedback is heard and a new type of Countdown is born.
