This week the boys get their snark on and do a DEEP dive into some of the very worst sequels of all time. The official title, then, is Worst 10 Films That Derailed The Franchise, but as Wayne insists, unofficially, it's Worst 10 Sequels That Defecated The Bed.

 

In other words, the guys get busy naming and shaming the films which stalled, killed, destroyed or at least caused a long pause or a change in direction for a franchise. How many superhero films make the list? Will there be a mention of a certain film Paul doesn't prefers not to acknowledge the existence of? And is the pronunciation of all punctuation in film titles gag going too far?

Raya and the Last Dragon review

So the boys were meant to review Godzilla Vs Kong, but then Paul had emergency surgery on his knee and couldn't get to the cinema, so much to Wayne's chagrin, Paul realised they could review the latest Disney animated feature, Raya and the Last Dragon.

 

Of course, there is no more qualified podcast in the world to review a family-friendly Disney epic (LOL!), so the boys got to watching ... and something magical happened. It would be spoilers to say here, but this review may just represent the animated film renaissance for one of the hosts and a stunning disappointment to the other ...

Zack Snyder's Justice League

You might think this lends itself to another positive lovefest, but you'd be wronger than the wrongest person on the wrongest day of their wrong, wrong life. Because the guys go to town on each other's choices, and Wayne, in particular, shows no mercy, and in response The Soundboard fires up!

Coming 2 America review

This week the guys check out a film 33 years in the making starring the vampire known as Eddie Murphy (seriously, does the man age?!) and his equally ageless side kick, Arsenio Hall (who has clearly made a pact with the devil to maintain his beauty). That film is Coming 2 America - a film which Wayne thinks is no more funny or clever than the crappy way the title for this sequel has been put together.

 

But the big question is: what does Paul think? Is he bothered by the relatively poor jokes, the painfully obvious script or the weirdly inauthentic character turn for Prince Akeem? Or does he like this film MORE THAN WAYNE?!?!

I Care A Lot review

This week the guys are taking on another sociopathic Rosamund Pike character in I Care A Lot. This black comedy thriller from the director of The 5th Wave divides the boys (to some extent) as Wayne decides he struggles with any film that is less than joyful, while Paul, predictably, derides him for it.

 

Meanwhile, there's cursing and Wayne says inappropriate things.

 

(I know, you're all shocked.)
