After 411 previous Countdowns, the boys decided it was time for something a little different, and so challenged themselves to come find some great Would You Rather questions and then pledged to answer their own as well as the other's.

 

The result is an OTT, NSFW, hour of CHAOS as things get completely out of control and both hosts reveal WAY too much about themselves!

Two reviews for the price of one this week, as Wayne has been a busy podcaster, catching two films, while Paul was off chasing snow in Japan - even though he made time to see the more horror-y film. (Big surprise.)

 

First up, it's M Night Shyamalan's latest thriller/horror, Knock at the Cabin. Is this top- or bottom-tier Shyamalan? Or is it maybe something else entirely? And is this another of those episodes in which Wayne's hatred of horror gets called into question?

Damian Chazelle reportedly helped a studio out of a bind when he agreed to direct First Man, and now the studio system is paying him back by letting him write and direct a film about the decline of the Golden Age of Hollywood that is over three hours long ... and barely contains a plot.

 

But what it does contain is some top shelf technical efforts, a cracking soundtrack, and some excellent performances. Is that enough to propel Babylon into being amazing? Or does it all end in a shower of elephant do-doo?

For the final time, the boys cast their minds back to 2022, and in leaving the year behind, opt to do so with some positivity.

 

And they're doing that by counting down the most uplifting moments of 2022 - those feel-good, hope-raising, nice stories that restore your faith in humanity.

 

Of course, doing so is nowhere near as funny as picking on the dumbest moments of the same year, so this episode is significantly shorter and a lot more serious as the guys touch on climate change, gun control, gender equality and overcoming disability. Plus, you know, entertainment and sports stories. (Don't worry: it's not completely serious.)

About a year back, this latest Guy Ritchie film trailer was all over YouTube and it was slated for release in April. Then it completely disappeared, only to re-surface with nary a ripple this month.

 

The boys felt compelled to check it out and now report back to you as clearly no-one else has seen it (given the exceptionally poor box office). Among other things, they explain why the film disappeared, debate over its merits (or lack thereof) and wonder whether this really might be the end for Guy Ritchie and his 25 year career.
