Episode 86: Top 10 Dark Comedies
Monday Nov 21, 2016
Monday Nov 21, 2016
This week, in an episode sans main review, the guys go dark as they Countdown the best films which dare you to laugh despite what is taking place on screen. That's right, it's the Top 10 dark comedies - and though things are largely pleasant and civilised, it wouldn't be a Countdown without Wayne making a controversial call and Paul calling him to task for it.
Beyond that, there's the return of the Cool for Cast segment as the boys recast a modern day remake of the 1997 action classic, Con Air. They then also play the latest installment of Tag Lines, and there's a bit more feedback for Wayne in reference to his Top 10 War films list a fortnight back.
The guys need YOUR help. Please consider subscribing, rating and reviewing the show on iTunes @ https://itunes.apple.com/au/podcast/countdown-movie-tv-reviews/id979577413?mt=2

You're honorable mentions Paul should have major list, especially Beetlejuice. But I love you anyway, and I guess Wayne too. :-) Kidding Wayne! Snatch should totally be on the list too, good call Wayne! FYI, it's Arsenic and Old Lace not cyanide. Holy shit you guys need to go back to the movie School! And I agree that Fargo should be on the list, sorry guys. Now... For Mary's to sense... I think Kingpin and three kings are arguably classic dark comedies. Commence arguing now.

Paul is Right, Grosse Pointe Blank is an absolute classic. Hands down. Eminently rewatchable, quotable, and just plain delightful. This movie cemented John and Joan Cusack as indie movie royalty.
